Coimbatore: People living in the vicinity of Perur, Thondamuthur, Kuniyamuthur and Karumbukadai have filed a petition with the Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran, seeking housing.
People from the Perur Circle, Thondamuthur, Kuniyamuthur and sugarcane shop areas who came to the Coimbatore District Collector's Office today, the day of the people's grievance, filed a petition with the District Collector seeking a housing lease.
The petition stated “we are day labourers and therefore we live without income.” The petitioners informed that they constantly are suffering from homelessness and, as a result, this greatly affected their family, and thus they asked for housing.
So the petitioners asked to be provided with housing and a space in a village of some sort.
