Valparai: The state Electricity Minister, Senthil Balaji issued housing site pattas to 21 people belonging to the Kallar Tribe.
The Tamilnadu Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister, Senthil Balaji attended the Makkal Sabha meeting held in Valparai. He issued pattas to the Kallar tribe people that remained a long term demand for the community.
The Makkal Sabha meetings are held in various areas based on the orders of the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, M K Stalin. Through the meeting, the issues and grievances of people are heard and the necessary steps to offer solutions are initiated. The Electricity Prohibition, and Excise Minister, Senthil Balaji participated in the meeting held at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Valparai on Sunday and received petitions from the people. The Minister issued 2 cents of housing patta for 21 families of the Kallar Tribe at the Theppakulam Medu region, as per the orders of the Chief Minister, which was a long-term demand of the community. About 10 persons were issued old age pension in Valparai and another person received rights certificate.
