Pollachi: The Pollachi All women police arrested a man after the parents of a fifth-grade student allege him of harassment.
Girinath, (21) of Pallivasal Street in Anamalai, Pollachi is living off by peeling coconuts in the same area. Girinath befriended a 5th-grade girl under false promises and harassed her. The girl informed her parents about the incident but was dismissed off with a warning to Girinath.
Girinath once again harassed the girl two days back while she was out to a shop. The girl informed her parents about the issue. The girl’s father and his friend thrashed Girinath. Injured Girinath was hospitalized at the Pollachi GH by his neighbours who arrived at the spot hearing his cries.
The girl’s parents also lodged a complaint with the all-women police station. Girinath was arrested under POCSO, while the police are also investigating the girl’s father and his friend who attacked Girinath, based on Girinath’s complaint.
