MLA Damodaran said that a request would be made to the General Manager of the Southern Railway and connect the Pollachi and Kinathukadavu railway stations to the Salem and Madurai divisions as there are complaints that various works are being neglected as the Kinathukadavu and Pollachi railway stations are with the Palakkad line.
Coimbatore: Podanur-Kinathukadavu-Pollachi wide gauge railway electrification work is completed and electric train test run was conducted. Railway officials and staff at Kinathukadavu railway station have been relocated due to non-operation of trains.

Kinathukkadavu MLA Damodaran and officials from the Railway Passengers Association inspected the railway station. The staff at the station were also asked about the station.

The electrification work was successfully completed at a cost of several crores of rupees. This will pave the way to run trains between Podanur-Kinathukadavu-Pollachi.
