Prisoner admitted to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment in the prisoner's ward dies. Jailer Sivarajan lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore Racecourse Police. Police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint.
Coimbatore: Manoharan alias Saravanan (50) was the son of Gunasekaran from Sakthi Nagar area of Coimbatore. He was convicted of murder in 2016 and was lodged in Coimbatore Central Jail.
He already had diabetes and heart disease. Yesterday he had severe abdominal pain and vomited. Following this, the prison doctors gave him first aid and admitted him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment in the prisoner's ward.
Not responding to treatment, Saravanan died tragically last evening. Jailer Sivarajan lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore Racecourse Police. Police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint.
