The two-wheeler rammed into the Omni van in Valparai leaving the riders injured, while a drunk biker and his pillion rider were injured after he lost control of the vehicle.
Valparai: Two different road accidents in Valparai left vehicle occupants grievously injured.
Tamilarasan (20) and Muthamizhselvan (17) are brothers residing in Anna Nagar, Valparai who were speeding on their two-wheeler and headed towards Sholayar Dam. They collided into an oncoming Omni van. It is reported that the driver’s legs got stuck and he had to be taken out by breaking the van’s door. The two-wheeler was reportedly mangled in the collision and the brothers suffered grievous injuries to their legs. All the injured were taken to the Government Hospital in an ambulance.
In another road accident, Dinesh (40) of Etiyar Estate was grievously injured when he lost control of his two-wheeler. Dinesh was driving under the influence of alcohol. Krishnan (50) the pillion rider who was also drunk is reported to have suffered serious injuries too. The injured have been sent to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment.
