The Fire and Rescue Services Department officials led a drive in the city to make the public aware on the do’s and don’ts during the rainy season.
Coimbatore: The Fire and Rescue Services Department officials created a monsoon awareness session among the people in Peelamedu.
The fire officers of the Peelamedu Fire station made the locals in Peelamedu aware of the dos and don’ts to adhere to during the monsoon season. They made announcements on public announcement system and also distributed leaflets to educate the public on hygiene, protecting oneself during the rain, especially in low-lying areas.
As a precautionary measure, awareness campaigns were held and leaflets were distributed to the public on behalf of The Peelamedu Fire Station through loudspeakers at the low lying areas including at Singanallur, Peelamedu, and Ramanathapuram. Fire station officer Ravi Kumar and others participated.
