TMMK functionaries condemned the actions of extremists in Tripura who attacked and killed the Muslims in violence in the state.
Coimbatore: TMMK members staged a protest condemning the BJP Government for the violence suffered by the Muslims in the hill state, Tripura.
The functionaries of Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) staged a demonstration condemning the violence caused by the ruling party- BJP-backed extremists who attacked the Muslims and the mosques in the state.
A series of violence have been fuelled by certain mobs in Tripura in the past few weeks.
Huge protests in various places sparked demanding protection for the Muslims, the mosques, their properties and as part of this, a protest was held in the Ukkadam area on behalf of Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam.
It was presided over by the TMMK District President Ahmed Kabir.
More than 100 people, including state secretary Sadik Ali, Islamic Propaganda Council state deputy secretary Jainulabuddin, Volunteer wing Secretary Sarbuddin state executive members Jafar Sadik Sahul Hameed, district administrators Mujibu Rahman, Abbas Siraj Deen Ashiq Ahmed, participated and raised protest slogans.
