The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore appealed that the Tamil Nadu government also should come forward to reduce the prices of diesel and petrol at least something near to the figures of Karnataka which will help each and every one to a greater extent.
Coimbatore: Central Government slashed fuel prices by reducing excise duties on petrol and diesel by Rs.5 and Rs.10 per litre respectively.
The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore and its members wholeheartedly thank the government for slashing fuel prices. They said cut in fuel prices which have come into effect from 4th November will certainly offer a relief to consumers and spur the overall economic cycle. This will also help farmers for the rabi crop ease inflation and give a consumption boost.
They also said other States like Gujarat, Assam, Tripura and Goa also promised the price cut, while Karnataka announced petrol price cut by Rs.12 and diesel by Rs.17 and Uttar Pradesh announced a tax cut of Rs.7 per litre on petrol and Rs.2 per litre on diesel.
