Coimbatore city police are looking for unidentified persons who stole silver items and electronics from two different places in the city.
Coimbatore: Silver items and electricals were stolen from a professor's house and an electricals shop respectively in Coimbatore.
Ramu (36), a native of Courtallam town near Pudur in Coimbatore works as a professor in a private college in the area. Ramu left to his relative's house in Tirupur on October 20. Burglars broke into Ramu's house and stole silver items weighing 1.5 kg. A complaint was lodged by Ramu with the Kuniyamuthur police and an investigation is underway.
In a similar incident, Ajimalsa (42), a native of Fatima Nagar in Karumbukkadai operates an electrical shop on Trichy Road. Ajimalsa who locked the shop on Tuesday night, found the shutters open when he arrived at the shop this morning. A further look inside revealed that the burglars had stolen items worth Rs. 80,000, including a fan, laptop, gas stove and Rs. 15,000 in cash by breaking in through the shutter. Ajimalsa lodged a complaint with the Race Course police and an investigation is underway.
