GH Dean Dr. Nirmala announced that a special ward has been arranged in the ICU unit to treat burns.
Coimbatore: A special ward has been arranged in the city’s Government Hospital to treat persons who might arrive with accidental burn injuries during Diwali season.
The announcement was made by GH Dean, Dr. Nirmala keeping in mind accidents that usually occur during Diwali due to lighting of fireworks. A special ward has been arranged at GH's Intensive Care Unit to treat such eventualities.
“A special ward to treat fire burns caused by bursting crackers during Diwali has been set up at the hospital. 20 beds and a separate team has been constituted to treat patients with burns. The doctors will be on duty from today and this ward will be functioning round the clock. In case of an unexpected burns, the injured should be brought to the Government Hospital immediately. All facilities have been provided for speedy treatment of the injured,” assured Dr.Nirmala, Dean of GH.
