A temple hundi was stolen from a temple in Coimbatore after the temple priest left the temple after offering routine puja, few days back.
Coimbatore: A temple hundi was stolen from the Muthumariyamman temple in Sanganoor region in Coimbatore.
Muthumariamman Temple is located on the tenth street next to Sanganoor Kannappananagar in Coimbatore. The temple priest, Subramaniyan, after completing his routine ritual at the temple locked and left home.
The priest found the temple hundi missing with cash, around ₹.20,000, the next morning when he arrived as usual. Lakshmi Ammal, the wife of the village head, lodged a complaint with Rathinapuri police station. Police have registered a case on the complaint and are investigating.
