Construction worker Arumugam died when a pillar collapsed during the construction of the building in Dharapuram. Rangarajan was admitted to the Dharapuram Government Hospital for treatment.
Tirupur: The concrete pillar of the building collapsed during the reconstruction work of a shop owned by Saravanan near the new flyover on the Dharapuram bypass road in Tirupur district. Mesthiri from Dharapuram Kulathur, Arumugam of Punjai Street was killed on the spot.
Another construction worker, Rangarajan of Bajanaimada Street, was rescued by the public and was admitted to the Dharapuram Government Hospital for further treatment. Upon information, the Dharapuram Fire Department and the police inspected the scene and registered a case.
