The Anaimalai Tiger Reserve's Butterfly Park was thrown open to the public from November 1.
Coimbatore: The butterfly park in the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve opened out for the public on November 1.
In Pollachi's renowned wildlife sanctuary which includes the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve, the construction of a butterfly park was underway in the past few months and was completed on the instructions of the Pollachi Forest Conservator and Field Director, on the advice of the Deputy Director.
The park has colourful flower beds, stone carved birds, reptiles and wildlife sculptures for children, a separate waterfall and a separate parking lot for tourists.
According to forest officials, tourists can now tour the butterfly park from November 1 onward for a fee of Rs 10.
