1,882 schools were reopened today in Tirupur district. Teachers enthusiastically welcomed students and accompanied them to classrooms with band music and sweets.
Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu government has announced that schools for students from grade one to eight will be reopened today after 19 months.
Schools had reopened for students in grades 9 to 12 after schools. Due to the pandemic, schools closed and students were taught online. However, with normalcy returning, 1,882 government, government aided and private schools were opened in Tirupur today.
On the first day today, after a long gap, when students got back to school, they were welcomed to school by the teachers who were dressed as toys.
Bouquets made of paper were presented to the students.
Students were escorted to the classroom with band instruments to cheer them on. The teachers said that for the first 15 days from today, students from 1st to 8th class will be taught rural games, song and dance as this will make the students happy. Once the students’ get adapted to the new normalcy, academic lessons will be taught.
