Coimbatore: The lockdown was enforced last March due to the rampant spread of the Coronavirus. Following this, all educational institutions in Tamil Nadu were closed and classes were conducted online since then.
Schools in Tamil Nadu have reopened today after 19 months, creating great hope and excitement among students and parents. The school teachers enthusiastically welcomed the 1st to 8th class students who stepped in to school after a long break in Coimbatore.
At the Corporation School in the Puliyakulam area of Coimbatore, the teachers welcomed the students by offering sweets to the students. Similarly, Coimbatore MP P.R. Natarajan also welcomed students with flowers and sweets. He also urged the students to follow the Coronavirus guidelines recommended by the Tamil Nadu government.
According to the prescribed guidelines of the Government of Tamil Nadu, all teachers should be vaccinated against Coronavirus with both doses.
