10-minute vehicle stop-off protest on December 10th condemning fuel price hike at various places

The CITU state president informed that a request will be made to the public to halt their vehicles between 12.00 pm to 12.10 pm on 10th December expressing objection to the fuel price hike.


Coimbatore: A 10-minute vehicle stop-off is planned to be executed on December 10, the CITU has announced.

The CITU state executive has announced a ten-minute stop-off protest on December 10 to protest against the union government's continued hike in petrol and diesel prices.

CITU state president A Soundararajan stated that the fuel price hike has affected people from all walks of life. To protest against this, the CITU will conduct a continuous cycle march and bullock cart rallies in all districts. As part of the continuous agitation, a ten-minute vehicle stop-off protest on December 10 will be held, with every organization's participation.

He further said, 'The vehicles will be halted from 12.00 pm to 12.10 pm on December 10 and an appeal has been made to the public to cooperate against the Union Government. To make the agitation a success, groups will be formed and leaflets will be distributed in all petrol bunks, tolls, and traffic signals in traffic-prone areas. We are going to talk to other organizations, for stronger condemnation.'
