A protest was staged on behalf of the Communist party members in Valparai demanding to reduce fuel and gas cylinder prices
Coimbatore: The Communist party members staged a protest in Valparai condemning the petrol, diesel, and gas cylinder price hike.
The protest was staged near the Valparai Gandhi statue complex.Mohan, Taluk Secretary of the Communist Party of India, led the protest.
The demonstrators shouted slogans denouncing the union government on fuel and cooking gas and price rise.They stated that the government should reduce prices of these, which is causing price hike of essential commodities. Valparai Taluk Secretary Mohan, CPI, Periyasamy, Ruby, Advocate Viswanathan, Arpudamani, Jeeva Lakshmi, and numerous party functionaries and activists took part in the demonstration.
