Coimbatore: Coimbatore District police nabbed five men who possessed ganja for sale on Friday.
Rahmatullah, Mohammad Arif, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Abdul Salaam and Yasser of Mettupalayam police station limits were nabbed by Coimbatore police during a city-wide raid. A total of 2.225 kg of ganja was seized from the accused and they were presented at the court. The police later lodged all five men in prison.
The District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam has warned of strict action against those involved in such illegal activities.
The public have been urged to contact the District Police Control Room No. 9498181212 and WhatsApp Number 7708100100 to inform about those involved in such illegal activities. The identity of the informants will not be disclosed.
