The Telangana Governor, Tamilisai Soundararajan met media persons in Coimbatore after thanking the representatives at a private hospital.
Coimbatore: Telangana Governor, Tamilisai Soundararajan met the representatives of private hospitals in Coimbatore. She later met the media at a private lodge in Coimbatore.

The Telangana and Pondicherry Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan interacted with the representatives of the private hospital yesterday. She thanked their contribution for achieving a record inoculation during the pandemic in India.

Addressing a press conference at the end of the event at a private inn on Avinashi Road the Governor stated “All nations have been appreciating us on administering over one crore vaccines. Yet certain people politically criticize inoculating 100 crore people.” She further stated, that she was aware of the Central government's work and the services of frontline workers while she was in charge of the Puducherry administration.
30 percent of Oxygen was supplied to the hospitals in Tamil Nadu from Pondicherry during the second wave. Around 40 percent of people from Tamil Nadu were treated at hospitals in the union territory without any discrimination. She cautioned that the public should be safe with the virus spreading once again in China and likely to spread in TN as well.
The governor added, “It is surprising to see everything being politicized in Tamil Nadu. The Governors' request for information from the government has been controversial recently. A governor’s conference will be held on the 11th of November and the Indian Government has sought information on the works and schemes implemented in the states. With the thought that governors should help the states, such information was demanded. We have provided information with full cooperation from Telangana and Pondicherry.”
“Law and order is maintained in Pondicherry and the culture of country bombs in Pondicherry is misinformation. A report from the DGP on some of the incidents in Pondicherry has been sought as well.”

She stated “We are determined to conduct the local body elections safe and with social justice. Meanwhile, parties who do not provide reservation to the backward classes in Tamil Nadu, are talking about reservation in Pondicherry.” She stated that she cannot comment on the DMK regime, being Telanga Governor when questioned about it.
