Over 50 bisons ambushed the tea gardens in Valparai Area, forcing the labourers to work at a different garden.
Valparai: Bisons rampaged through the tea gardens in Valparai town, and the works came to a standstill in the garden.
About 30,000 acres of tea and 10,000 acres of coffee are under cultivation at Valparai in the Coimbatore district. Wild elephants, leopards, tigers, bison, bears, deer, red dogs are among the wild animals stroll the area frequently.
Over 50 bison strolled in the Tea Plantation at Appar Paralai Tea Garden in the Pollaci-Valparai area. The bison fed through the plantations, bringing the routine works to a halt at the garden. The tea plantation workers were forced to work at a different plantation.
However, the tourists and the locals were thrilled with the arrival of the wild animals.
