Farmer commits suicide by drinking pesticide, near N.10 Muthur in Kinathukadavu die to chronic stomach ache.
Coimbatore: Muthukumarasamy (84), was a farmer from Mariamman Kovil Road, No. 10 Muthur near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district.
He was suffering from chronic abdominal pain. Muthukumarasamy, who was alone at home on Tuesday the 26th and attempted to take the extreme step by consuming pesticides.
Muthukumarasamy, who was unconscious at home, was rescued and admitted to the Pollachi Government Hospital. He succumbed on Thursday evening. Muthukumarasamy's son Ravikumar has lodged a complaint at the Kinathukadavu police station and police are investigating the incident.
