The Karamadai police have registered two theft cases in the vicinity where burglars looted adjacent houses and took away 7 grams of gold and a wrist watch.
Coimbatore: Two neighbouring houses in Karamadai were looted by anonymous persons.
Chandrasekar, (56), son of Nanjundan is from Thottipalayam next to Karamadai. Chandrasekar is a driver in Aruvankadu Explosives Factory. Chandrasekar went to Coonoor a few days back. Last morning, the daily milk supplier informed Chandrasekar about the break-in.
Chandrasekar rushed home and found 2-gram gold jewellery missing from the wardrobe. He registered a complaint with the Karamadai police and an investigation is underway. Similarly, Chandrasekar’s neighbour Beeman, (63), son of Madan filed a case with Karamadai Police stating a five-gram gold jewellery and a wrist watch are missing from the house.
Beeman who went to Kothagiri with his family was informed by the milk supplier as well. Beeman is a retired mechanic who worked for the transport department. The investigation is in progress.
The incident has stirred the locals in the area.
