The elderly woman who accidentally fell into a 40-feet deep well in Kinathukkadavu was rescued by the Fire Dept. personnel with a rope.
Coimbatore: Girija (61) who resides in Kinathukadavu, Anna Road, Coimbatore district had accidentally stumbled and fallen into a 40-feet well on Friday morning while walking near the well in her home.
She screamed for help since she was drowning and her son Guruvenkatesan immediately informed the Kinathukadavu fire station.
Fire Department personnel led by Kinathukadavu Fire Station Officer, Kalimuthu rushed to the spot immediately and rescued Girija who was reportedly afloat in the well, with the help of a rope. Family and neighbours lauded the team for their quick rescue work which saved Girija from drowning in the well.
