A 15-km long road in Valparai has been left half-constructed from Valparai to Solaiyar Dam causing great difficulty to the motorists. After the new DMK government taking over, the road construction work has been put on hold.
Valparai: The locals of Valparai region have requested to repair the half-constructed roads in Valparai-Solaiyar Region.
There are 62 estates in Valparai. The municipal corporation constructed roads for public usage and movement of government buses between Valparai and all estates.

A 15-km main road, from Valparai to Solaiyar Dam connects Solaiyar, Thaimudi, Nallamudi, Mudis, Muthumudi, Thonimudi, Panimedu estates. The road has been left half-constructed for which the works began during the previous rule.

It is unpaved due to the change of regime, and the potholes on the road pose life threats to the motorists.
Ambulances are halted, government buses are damaged due to the poor condition of the roads.

The motorists have a tough time riding during the nighttime, while two-wheeler riders meet with accidents. The locals have demanded the speedy restoration of the potholed road.
