Ibrahim owed a Bashir Rs. 50 for buying fish. When Bashir asked for his money after a few days, Ibrahim got into a dispute with him. Bashir stabbed Ibrahim in the hand following which Ibrahim lodged a complaint at the police station. Police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint.

He had bought fish from Bashir, son of Suleiman of Azad Nagar area of Saramedu, a few months back. Then Ibrahim gave Bashir 50 rupees less and said that he will give 50 rupees next time he buys fish. But it is said that Ibrahim did not give 50 rupees. At this point Ibrahim was standing in front of the house.
Bashir, who was there at the time, asked for 50 rupees and got involved in a dispute. At the end of the argument, he tried to stab Ibrahim with the knife he was holding. Ibrahim then got stabbed in the arm as he tried to stop. His hand was badly injured and he was bleeding. Ibrahim was later admitted to Coimbatore Government Hospital with the help of bystanders.
