Tirupur: The Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department (HR & CE), officers recovered 13 acres of land worth ₹.1.62 crore in Dharapuram on Thursday.
The Hanumantharaya Swamy Temple is located at Ponnalipalayam next to Dharapuram. The process of recovering encroached lands across the state is carried out.
The Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department (HR & CE) officials and employees recovered the occupied temple land in the presence of Assistant Commissioner of Hindu Charitable Endowments Menaka and Assistant Commissioner Tirupur Satish, Executive Officer and Temple Trustees on Thursday.
The 13 acres of Punjai land belonging to the temple was recovered. The officials stated that the land’s worth is ₹.1.62 crore.
