For the last two days, an old bison has been lying on the main road from the Sholayar Dam next to Valparai to Power house. Due to this, the public and motorists in the vicinity are panic-stricken and fear that the bison will attack them.

It is alleged that the bison may have fallen ill and stayed in the area due to old age. Forest officers immediately treated the bison and the public, social activists have appealed that steps are initiated to release the animal into the dense forest.
