Kanjapalli Panchayat Council Deputy Chairman Vasant Shanmugam and ward members lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Collector alleging irregularities in the payment of taxes to the Panchayat in the Kanjapalli Panchayat of the Annur Union in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Following a complaint with the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran that the Panchayat Secretary of Kanjapalli in Annur Panchayat Union in Coimbatore, Nagarajan had misused the tax collected, the Regional Development Officer suspended Nagarajan.
Kanjapalli Panchayat Council Deputy Chairman, Vasant Shanmugam and ward members had lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Collector alleging irregularities in the payment of taxes to the Panchayat in the Kanjapalli Panchayat of the Annur Union next to Coimbatore.
On the basis of this, the inspection conducted by the authorities on October 6 revealed that the taxes due to the Panchayat had been paid a month late. Following this, the Regional Development Officer Asokan has ordered the suspension of Kanjapalli Panchayat Union Secretary, Nagarajan.
