Coimbatore: The Coimbatore South District Congress Committee Activists Meeting was held on Tuesday at a private marriage hall in Kinathukadavu checkpost area.
The meeting was chaired by the Southern District Chairman Bhagwati and District Deputy Chairman Vidyasagar welcomed the gathering.
Many Congress party executives from Kinathukadavu, Pollachi and Valparai constituencies attended the meeting, with the All India Congress Party Committee Secretary Srivalla Prasad addressing the party executives.
Srivalla Prasad called for the city to prepare for local elections which are being set up by committees in the city. The meeting was attended by the Tamil Nadu Congress Party Secretary Siddique, State Vice President Alaku Jayapalan, All India Congress Committee Member Kavitha, Kinathukadavu City Chairman Senthilkumar, Regional Chairman Sivaraj, District Deputy Chairman Lakshmanan, City Deputy Chairman Jagadish, City Secretary Thamburaj and Devalakshmi.
