Senthilkumar has reportedly been involved in fraud while in office by not remitting the amount collected for tax evasion to his office.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Police have registered a case against a business tax collection inspector who has been found involved in tax evasion of Rs.16 lakhs. Senthilkumar (56) was working as a tax inspector at the Commercial Taxes Department office on Balasundaram Road, Coimbatore. He has reportedly been caught committing a fraud of not remitting the amount collected from 30.6.2005 to 2.8.2007 while in office.
The investigation done by the office revealed the fraud that Senthilkumar had committed and he has since been suspended. The Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Prabhu lodged a complaint with the Race Course Police in Coimbatore seeking criminal action against Senthilkumar. The police have registered a case against Senthilkumar and are conducting a detailed investigation.
