Dr. Arulraj served as a doctor at the Urban Health Center in Puthuramakrishnapuram, Tirupur and deteriorated over the past month due to Covid-19.
Tirupur: Doctors and nurses of the Urban Health Center at Puthuramakrishnapuram in Tirupur paid homage to fellow-doctor, Dr. Arulraj, by lighting candles.
The nurses who worked with Dr. Arulraj were moved to tears while remembering Dr.Arulraj's dedicated service as a doctor. Tirupur North MLA, Vijayakumar also attended the public event to honour the doctor's service to the community.

Dr. Arulraj who was working as a doctor at the Urban Health Center in Tirupur's Puthuramakrishnapuram area was admitted to Theni Government Hospital on September 26 due to ill health. A test at the hospital confirmed he had contracted Covid-19. He was then admitted to the Madurai Government Hospital after his health deteriorated in spite of the treatment. Dr. Arulraj succumbed to the Covid-19 virus on Monday night. His body was subsequently sent to his hometown of Thoothukudi.
