Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, Deepak M Damor led police officials in taking the anti-corruption pledge at the office of the Police Commissioner in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Police officials led by the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner took an anti-corruption pledge at the Coimbatore Police Commissioner's office in Gopalapuram, on Tuesday, in an effort to eliminate bribery in the department.

Officers of all the departments in the Commissioner’s office pledged in the presence of the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, Deepak M Damor and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) E S Uma that they would abide by the rules, be honest and never indulge in receiving or paying bribes. “I would sincerely assure you that I will act with integrity and transparency, work for the welfare of the public, set an example in expressing integrity in personal conduct and inform the appropriate authority of corruption-related events,” stated the pledge.
The Police Commissioner who addressed the officials during the ceremony said, "Corruption is a major obstacle to the economic, political and social progress of our country. Every citizen in the country should be aware of corruption and it can be eradicated by working together with the Government, citizens and private institutions. It is every person’s duty to support the vision of eliminating corruption."
