Makkal Athigaram Amaippu protest for granting approval of Tamil Nadu Government for the NEET Exemption Act

Protesters chanted slogans condemning the central government and the prime minister. They said that it is a blatant hoax to state that NEET selection would produce quality doctors and that those with money would get a place in a private medical college.

Coimbatore: The NEET exam has recently been conducted as an entrance exam for medical study.

Various parties, including the Congress and the DMK, have been fighting against the implementation of NEET. Many members of the public are protesting against the NEET on social media.

Makkal Athigaram Amaippu across Tamil Nadu staged a state-wide protest today demanding the President's approval of the Tamil Nadu government's NEET exemption Act.

As part of the protest, over 50 people from the Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Tirupur districts staged a protest in front of the Coimbatore South Taluk Office.

Protesters chanted slogans condemning the central government and the prime minister decision on NEET.

They stated that it was a blatant hoax to say that NEET selection would produce quality doctors and that those with money would get a place in a private medical college.

The protestors added that the Central Government has no right to deny the NEET Exemption Act passed by the Government of Tamil Nadu and that the President has continued to ignore the release of 7 Tamils so far without approval.
