BJP State President Annamalai flags off vehicle carrying Rs.6 lakh worth relief items to Kerala

The BJP State President Annamalai flagged off the vehicle in Siddhapudur and later briefed the press on various issues.

Coimbatore: The Bharatiya Janata Party State President, Annamalai flagged off the vehicle carrying Rs. 6 lakh worth of relief Items in Siddhapudur.

The vehicle is headed to flood-hit Alleppey, in Kerala. Following this, he briefed the media on various issues.

Talking to reporters, Annamalai stated that it would be inappropriate to comment on internal AIADMK affairs or about Edappadi Palaniswami, or about OPS in an active alliance with AIADMK. He also opined that the issue of Sasikala entering into politics was an internal affair of the party and he could not comment on that either.

Speaking of the ‘Namadhu Amma’ magazine, Annamalai stated that anybody who criticizes or appreciates someone should have proof. “BJP is growing into a constructive opposition and criticizing each other will happen. BJP and AIADMK comment on the DMK regime, with EPS also recently condemning the DMK. We have been conveying the issues of the public to the Government and the Government has been listening to our pleas as well. Lifting the restriction on temples, the issue of Aavin Tender are solid examples of that,” he further stated.

Calling the politics between DMK and BJP as ideological, Annamalai stated that AIADMK puts forth opposition on behalf of Tamil Nadu and BJP has been commenting on behalf of the country. "All that DMK has been talking about is BJP. I assure you that there is no such rivalry between BJP and AIADMK with regard to the opposition," he added.

"It is solely people’s acceptance that will decide who shall be in politics and who shall not. Also the party was simply pointing out that there will be corruption in PPA in TNEB," commented Annamalai on the issue of the Electricity Minister, Senthil Balaji. "Let the Minister come clean and then question me, for which I will answer. The Minister himself will let the evidence out,” he added. "There were no clashes between the DMK and the BJP and there are no answers for the evidence already produced. The Chief Minister, M K Stalin will take necessary action against the Electricity Department," stated Annamalai with conviction.
