Following this, the SI, led by Silambarasan, arrested five persons, Selvaraj, 27, Arumugam, 33, Veeramani, 22, Surender, 25, and Rajagopal, 56, who were involved in a cockfight near Pachagoundanur.

Rs. 1,000 was confiscated from them. SI, Venkatesh-led police arrested six persons, Ponnusamy, 62, Mohanraj, 24, Gunasekaran, 23, Kumar, 31, Thiagarajan, 32, Murugesan, 30, who were involved in a cockfight near Pachagavundanur crematorium and confiscated Rs 1,000 from them. Annur Police have registered a case and are investigating.
