Director of Kongu Global Forum (KGF), D. Nandakumar said, “direct flights between Coimbatore and Delhi are currently available in the domestic transport sector and this service should be increased. Suspended services, including the existing Coimbatore-Pune service, should also be restarted.”

Coimbatore: Director of the Kongu Global Forum (KGF), D. Nandakumar said, “The resumption of normalcy at Coimbatore Airport following the outbreak of the coronavirus has created great confidence among all industries in the entire Kongu districts.

Direct flights between Coimbatore and Delhi are currently available in the domestic transport sector. However this service should be increased. Similarly, suspended services, including the existing Coimbatore-Pune service, should be restarted. In addition, airlines are expected to launch new services to more cities in the domestic transport sector."

He added, "The number of passengers will increase every month after the central government gives permission to start international flights. It is gratifying that air traffic, which was severely affected by the spread of the disease, has begun to revive. As most people are administered with two-doses of vaccine, everyone should follow the guidelines announced by the government in a consistent manner without being negligent".
