1,500 saplings planted in the city by Coimbatore North Round Table 20 and Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation as part of the 'Go Green' initiative using the Miyawaki method
Coimbatore: 1,500 saplings planted in the Vilankurichi area of Coimbatore jointly by the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation and the Coimbatore North Round Table 20.
Coimbatore North Round Table 20, Chairman, Dipender Singh in a press release said, 'As part of our 'Go Green' initiative, we have planted 1,500 saplings on Saturday for a 'Miyawaki' forest in Shivram Nagar, Vilankuruchi.
'Miyawaki' forest is a Japanese idea of planting more trees within a small surface area. The trees were planted in land allocated by the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation. This was a joint project 'Schneider Electric' as CSR partners and Committee as execution partners.'
