Coimbatore: The robbery of a crore rupees worth of diamond jewellery and 50 sovereigns of gold jewellery at a businessman's house in Coimbatore has caused a stir.

He is an ice cream dealer. The family after eating dinner, went to bed in the bedrooms on the first floor of the house last night.
When the house owner woke up this morning, he noticed that the 1.03 crore rupees worth of diamond jewellery and 50 sovereigns of gold jewellery stored in the home wardrobe had been looted. He then lodged a complaint at the Thudiyalur police station. A similar robbery attempt was made on six houses in the same area. The residents have lodged a complaint with the Thudiyalur police.
Police led by Thudiyalur Police Inspector Gnanasekaran visited to the crime scene and seized the fingerprints and are conducting an investigation. Also the house where Srinivasan lived is a luxury villa. Police are conducting a serious investigation into who carried out the robbery targeting these homes. They also explored CCTV footage in the area.
