The woman lost her wallet while she was travelling in a bus received an SMS stating cash has been debited from her account.
Coimbatore: A woman in Coimbatore was robbed of money after she lost her wallet (on the bus) in which she stored her debit cards.
Vijayanirmala, (43), wife of Krishnamurthy is from Appanaickenpatti. She was travelling by bus from Thudiyalur yesterday along with her daughter. After she got down at Town hall, Vijayanirmala realized that her wallet is stolen.
She received an SMS stating an amount of ₹ 44,000 is debited from her bank account. She had three ATM cards stored in her wallet. A complaint was registered with the Variety Hall Road Police Station.
The police have registered a case and are probing to nab the fraudster.
