Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector Dr. G. S. Sameeran today handed over the identity card under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme for a 40-day old infant who is suffering from heart disease. The card was provided at the District Collector's office.
A 40-day-old girl infant, who is suffering from heart disease was left at the Coimbatore Saranalayam Adoption Centre, by her parents. The District Collector issued a unique card under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme. The infant shall undergo surgery from a private hospital using the insurance card.
The card was handed over today and Joint Director Medical and Rural Health Services Chandra, Child Protection Project Officer Sundar, Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme Officer Kishore Kumar, and District Officer Karuna Maharaja were present on the occasion.
