The police are on the lookout for miscreants who reportedly robbed a temple in Pollachi, a house and shop in Coimbatore, in three individual incidents.
Coimbatore: Three different burglaries in the city has led the police department search for the miscreants and recover the stolen valuables.
In an incident in Peelamedu, Coimbatore unidentified people reportedly made away with ₹.77 thousand from a shop. Sabir Madaras, (41), is from PRS Garden in Peelamedu. He runs and owns a shop on Patel Road selling spare parts. Sabir was surprised to see the lock broken to his shop this morning after he left home locking it last night. The burglars had taken away cash ₹.77 thousand cash from the shop. Sabir lodged a complaint at the Katoor Police station. An investigation is underway and the police are searching for the burglars.
In another incident, Thangaraj, (41) of Periyanayakkanpalayam works as a school teacher in Sirumugai. He left for on a pilgrimage to Thirunallur last 17th.When he returned last night, Thangaraj found his house broken into. He found that the eight sovereigns of jewels that were stored in his home stolen. Thangaraj lodged a complaint at the Periyanayakkanpalayam police station. The Police are looking for the thieves.
Similarly, Panchalingam, (71) is a priest at the Makaliyamman Temple in Okkilipalayam. He left home after offering routine prayer last night. Panchalingam filed a complaint at the Vadakkipalayam Police station stating that the hundi has been broken into and an amount of ₹.7,000 is taken away. The cash missing was noticed by the temple priest when he came to the temple this morning. An investigation is underway to crack the case.
