Coimbatore: The district superintendent, Selvanagarathinam received a secret tip-off that illegal sale of liquor is on in the city.
Based on the tip-off, the SP stationed the Periyanayakenpalayam Prohibition Enforcement Police and a raid was taken carried out the Kovilmedu, Thudiyalur region. M.Pazhanivel, (31) who sold poisonous liquor bottles illegally was arrested by Prohibition Enforcement Inspector Meenapriya. The accused is a native of Pudukkottai. The cops confiscated the liquor bottles and lodged Pazhanivel in judicial custody.
