Leaders from Kongu Global Forum thank CM for allocating funds for airport land acquisition

Chairman Dr A Sakthivel, Vice Chairperson Vanitha Mohan and Directors of Kongu Global Forum C Devaraj, Nallusamy and Sudhakar met the Chief Minister M K Stalin today at Chennai to thank him for passing a GO allocating ₹1132 crores for airport land acquisition.



Coimbatore: Chairman Dr A Sakthivel, Vice Chairperson Vanitha Mohan and Directors of Kongu Global Forum C Devaraj, Nallusamy and Sudhakar met the Chief Minister M K Stalin today at Chennai to thank him for passing a GO allocating₹1132 crores for airport land acquisition besides the various welfare measures initiated by him for the development of Tamil Nadu.



CM was most cordial and patiently listened to all their representations. A request for having a separate Ministry for Connectivity other than road - aviation, rail and shipping which are critical for development of the economy was placed for his favourable consideration. The CM assured that he would ensure that all the requests are considered and acted upon.

They also met Principal Secretaries Udhayachandran and Umanath. Also Shiv Das Meena - Secretary MAWS. All issues relating to road, rail and air connectivity, water bodies were taken up for discussion. The government in power has agreed to consider the various proposals in order of priority and criticality. MAWS Secretary would soon organise a meeting in Coimbatore to understand the needs of Western Tamil Nadu with regards to water supplies and administration.

They were highly appreciative of the intense work done by KGF to collate all the information and their sustained support to implement a solution for the various civic issues. In fact they have referred to the Presentation made at the recently held MPs meeting at Coimbatore with Collectors of other Districts and are planning to promote it as a model for other districts to follow. KGF members thanked the CM for positioning very proactive and down to earth officers with their ears and eyes on the ground zero, who have within a short period of time brought about a visible positive impact in all the 7 Districts.
