A new modern gym was inaugurated in Tirupur at the campus of Vaiyar Cricket Sports Academy
Tirupur:A new modern gym was inaugurated at the campus of The Vaiyar Cricket Sports Academy near Murugampalayam in Tiruppur.Tamil Nadu Olympic Athlete Dhanalakshmi inaugurated the gym.
A cricket stadium, a gym with modern fitness equipment, rope climbing equipment are placed in the academy.
Dr. Kannabiran, physical instructor of Ratan Tata, Vaiyar Cricket Sports Academy Director Ramesh Kumar, and cricket athletic coach Azhagesan were among the participants at the inaugural function. Athlete Dhanalakshmi Shekhar while talking to the press stated, 'Only four participants represented Tamil Nadu at the Tokyo Olympics. Gyms like this will encourage more athletes and train them, which I lacked during my time.'
