Police officers who performed their duties exemplarily were felicitated with rolling trophies, certificates of appreciation.
Coimbatore: The monthly crime discussion meeting was held in Coimbatore on Monday, which was chaired by the District Superintendent of Police, Selvanagarathinam. The SP felicitated the police officers who have put service above self.
Thudiyalur Inspector of Police Gnanasakaran, and Sub- Inspector Jaganathan, Chandru, the clerk of Sulur police station who maintained the station records to the ‘t’ were felicitated. Chandralekha, Female Head constable of Karumathampatti police station for uploading files in CCTNS, and Head Constable of Pollachi East Police Station Navneetan, who took filed the case effectively were felicitated with rolling trophies and certificates.
The Thudiyalur Police Station was awarded the best police station and Thudiyalur Inspector received the rolling trophy on behalf of the Thudiyalur police station. Periyanayakenpalayam Sub-division police station was declared as the best sub-divisional police station. The rolling trophy was handed over to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajapandian.

The police officers welcomed the approach and stated that such initiatives will encourage them to put their best foot forward.
