Coimbatore: Three men arrested in Coimbatore for robbing a 20-year-old worker.
Prabhakaran, (20), son of Mahalingam is from Anna Colony in Thudiyalur, here. Last Saturday, Prabhakaran who was walking through the G. N. Mills, Mettupalyam Road, at around 10 PM was intercepted by three motorbike-borne men. They blocked Prabhakaran’s way and threatened him demanding that he hands over all the money he possessed then. The miscreants snatched rupees 300 from him and fled from the place.
Prabhakaran lodged a complaint at the Thudiyalur Police Station. The footage from CCTV cameras in the vicinity was examined. The police zeroed down on three men and the trio was arrested.
Investigations revealed that Satish Kumar (22) of Tuticorin, Saravanakumar (29) of Idukki in Kerala, and Balaji (32) of Krishnagiri intercepted Prabhakaran and extorted money. The three are booked by Thudiyalur police and behind bars.
