Three months after his murder, Gopinath's parents have come down heavily on the police, who according to the parents of the dead man are about to close the case claiming it was accidental death. Gopinath's parents demand a CBI investigation.
Tirupur: Gopinath was the son of Nagaraj and Mariammal from Veeramangalam area next to Dharapuram in Tirupur district.
He worked at a rice mill in the area and he was found dead on July 18 in Madathupalayam with stab wounds on his body. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Meanwhile, three months after the murder, Gopinath's parents, who allege that the police have so far delayed the arrest of the killers, also came down heavily on the police stating that they (the police) are all set to close the case declaring it as an accidental death. The parents demanded that the police should immediately arrest the killers. Gopinath's parents filed a petition at the Tirupur District Collector's Office, demanding that the case is transferred to the CBI.

The parents threatened to take the extreme step at the District Collector's office if the police fails to act swiftly in the case.
