Coimbatore: More than 300 members of the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Union staged a protest in front of the Coimbatore South Tahsildhar's Office demanding to protect the coconut farming community.

The protestors demanded that the government comes to their rescue in helping the coconut farming community deal with the various diseases like coconut blight, coon beetle attack, erythrocyte, white fly attack among others that effects the coconut trees.
