Coimbatore: The residences and other premises of former AIADMK Health Minister C Vijayabaskar are being searched in connection with the disproportionate assets case filed against him.
The officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, (DVAC) have been conducting a search since morning on Monday. According to the sources, 43 places in Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Kanchipuram are being raided by officials. A five-member team from the anti-corruption bureau, including a woman officer, searched the residence of Vijayabaskar’s father-in-law at SNV Garden in Ramanathapuram-Nanjundapuram road.
Sources state that the ex-minister usually stays at his wife Ramya’s father’s residence whenever he visits the cotton city.
